Climb from Rickenbach via Zwüschetmythen to the Rotenflue
681 metres of ascent from the valley station to the top station: this route leads from Rickenbach at 1,054 metres between the two Mythen and up to the Rotenflue. 6.3 kilometres with a passage at a 34 per cent gradient.

Route description
The starting point is the valley station of the Rotenfluebahn in Rickenbach. After crossing the Tobelbach the path first climbs gently before the main climb of 332 metres begins from kilometre 1.9. The steepest passage lies at kilometre 2.3 and reaches around 34 per cent.
At kilometre 3.0 the Zwüschetmythen saddle is reached, which leads between the Grosser and Kleiner Mythen. Shortly afterwards, at kilometre 3.8, the Alpwirtschaft Zwüschet Mythen invites you to a break.
From kilometre 4.3 the second climb of 201 metres follows, leading over the Stäglerenegg to the Rotenflue top station. At kilometre 6.2 the highest point is reached at 1,571 metres; the elevation range is 517 metres.
Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear. If you would rather not walk back down, take the Rotenfluebahn for the descent. The tour is recommended from May to October.
