Loop from the Rotenflue around the Kleiner Mythen
A loop that circles the Kleiner Mythen completely: 12.7 kilometres, 717 metres of ascent and four mountain inns along the way. Because the start and finish are at the top station, the tour already begins above 1,500 metres.

Route description
The starting point is the top station of the Rotenfluebahn at 1,562 metres; right at the beginning, at kilometre 0.1, comes the highest point of the loop. The path descends high above the Alptal and the Zwäckentobel and reaches the Zwüschetmythen saddle at kilometre 3.1, which owes its name to its position between the two Mythen.
From kilometre 4.4 a climb of 281 metres follows, leading after the Nietenbach to the Haggenegg at kilometre 7.3. The steepest passage lies just before it at kilometre 6.8 and reaches around 23 per cent.
The way back leads through the Geissloch and gains another 273 metres from kilometre 9.2 back to the starting point. The lowest point of the loop lies at 1,103 metres; the elevation range is 463 metres.
Some sections call for a sure step; sturdy footwear is part of the kit. There are several places to stop: the Restaurant Gipfelstubli at the start, the Berggasthaus Holzegg at kilometre 1.4, the Alpwirtschaft Zwüschet Mythen at kilometre 2.5 and the Skihaus Holzegg at kilometre 11.6. The tour is recommended from May to October.
