A short climb from Rättigs to the Rotenflue
The short version of the climb to the Rotenflue: from the Rättigs middle station at 1,053 metres, 6.2 kilometres and 675 metres of ascent lead between the Mythen to the top station. Two and a half hours for a good 500 metres of height difference.

Route description
The starting point is Rättigs, the middle station of the Rotenfluebahn. After a short prelude of 63 metres, the main climb of 331 metres begins at kilometre 1.9. The steepest passage lies at kilometre 2.4 and reaches around 32 per cent.
At kilometre 3.1 the Zwüschetmythen saddle is reached, and shortly afterwards, at kilometre 3.9, the Alpwirtschaft Zwüschet Mythen. High above the Alptal the path continues to the Berggasthaus Holzegg at kilometre 4.9.
From kilometre 3.9 the final climb of 201 metres follows, leading via the Zwäckentobel to the top station. At kilometre 6.2 the highest point is reached at 1,566 metres.
Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear. The Restaurant Gipfelstubli awaits at the finish, and the cable car is available for the descent. The tour is recommended from May to October.
