A summit loop from the car-free mountain village of Stoos: 9.5 kilometres, 801 metres of ascent and a climb to 1,927 metres. Because a lift takes care of part of the climb, the tour stays manageable despite the lofty goal.

Route description

The starting point is the mountain village of Stoos at 1,306 metres. Via Rämsen the climb of 574 metres begins from kilometre 0.6, with the steepest passage reached as early as kilometre 0.8 at around 32 per cent. A lift bridges the section from 1,346 to 1,926 metres.

At kilometre 2.6 the highest point is reached at 1,927 metres, immediately followed by the Chlingenstock. The path then follows the ridge over Rot Turen at kilometre 3.3 and the Huser Stock at kilometre 5.0, high above the Riemenstalden valley and the Frontal.

After the Furggelen saddle at kilometre 6 the route descends back to the mountain village. Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, especially on the ridge section.

Because of the altitude the loop can be walked from June to October. No refreshment stop is recorded along the route, but food and drink are available in the mountain village of Stoos at the start and finish.
