Route description
The starting point is the schoolhouse in Muotathal, where the path crosses the Muota straight away and the Hofbach at kilometre 0.5. The terrain stays level throughout.
At kilometre 1.0 the highest point of the loop is reached at 647 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning; the steepest section is six per cent at kilometre 0.4.
At kilometre 1.5 Hinterthal is reached, where the path crosses the Hüribach at kilometre 1.8 and leads back to the starting point.
Technically the walk makes no demands and is therefore suitable for all ages, including small children. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season. Food and drink are available in Muotathal.
