Loop over the Bachholz near Muotathal
Four kilometres, one hour and 111 metres of ascent: this short loop from Stalden near Muotathal at 658 metres stays on the valley floor throughout. The elevation range is just 106 metres, and the season runs from March to September.

Route description
The starting point is Stalden near Muotathal, where the path crosses the Starzlenbach straight away. Over the first 900 metres the route gains 70 metres; the steepest section is twelve per cent at kilometre 0.2.
At kilometre 1.1 the highest point is reached at 733 metres. The path passes the entrance to the Bisistal and crosses the Muota at kilometre 1.8.
At kilometre 2.0 the Hüttenhotel Husky-Lodge invites you to a break. Via Hinterthal at the entrance to the Hürital the loop closes back at the starting point; the lowest point lies at 627 metres.
Technically the walk makes no demands and is therefore suitable for all ages. Because it stays on the valley floor, it can be walked from March onwards, which makes it a good choice for the early season.
