Loop from the Ibergeregg over the Sternenegg
A high-level loop from the Ibergeregg pass: 10.8 kilometres, 537 metres of ascent and a climb to 1,724 metres. Because the starting point already lies at 1,405 metres, the elevation range of 322 metres stays pleasantly manageable.

Route description
The starting point is the Ibergeregg pass at 1,405 metres. The path climbs immediately, gains 98 metres over the first kilometre and leads through the Schijenloch. At kilometre 1.8 it crosses the Sternenegg.
From kilometre 1.9 the main climb of 211 metres follows, leading through the Isentobel. At kilometre 4.3 the highest point of the loop is reached at 1,724 metres, surrounded by a whole series of ravines, among them the Chöpfentobel, the Richtitobel and the Laucherentobel.
The way back descends to the pass. The steepest passage comes early, at kilometre 0.4, and reaches around 17 per cent; after that the terrain stays moderate. Some sections call for a sure step.
The Restaurant Passhöhe Ibergeregg at the start and the Isentobelhütte at kilometre 7.8 invite you to stop. Because of the altitude the loop can be walked from June to October; it crosses the municipal boundary from Schwyz into Oberiberg.
