Route description
The starting point is Oberiberg at the Petersboden, where the path crosses the Minster. The climb begins at once; the steepest passage comes as early as kilometre 0.3 and reaches around 21 per cent. At kilometre 1.1 the Heikenhütte invites you to a break.
Via the Furggelenlöcher and the Horatsblätztobel the route continues and reaches the Furggelen saddle at kilometre 3.2. Shortly afterwards, at kilometre 3.8, the Furggelenstock is reached at 1,625 metres, the highest point of the loop.
At kilometre 6.5 the path passes the Ibergeregg, where the Restaurant Passhöhe and the Alpwirtschaft Alpstubli invite you to a break. Via the Ibergereggbach and the Fallenbach the loop closes back at Oberiberg.
Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear. Because the route is designated for the winter months, winter equipment and a look at current conditions and the avalanche bulletin are part of the plan.
