From the Bergrestaurant Sternen down to Unteriberg
1,159 metres of descent in 12.3 kilometres: this tour starts at 1,810 metres at the Bergrestaurant Sternen in the Hoch-Ybrig and leads down to Unteriberg at 922 metres. Four hours with only one short counter-climb.

Route description
The starting point is the Bergrestaurant Sternen in the Hoch-Ybrig. The path crosses the Waag at kilometre 0.3 and leads through the Loch and the Schaflöcher. At kilometre 1.1 the highest point of the tour is reached at 1,852 metres.
The route then descends and crosses the Weglosenbach at kilometre 3.8. At kilometre 4.1 the Druesberghütte at Chäseren invites you to a break, and at kilometre 4.4 the Sattlerhütte.
From kilometre 4.3 the only counter-climb follows with 94 metres of ascent; the steepest passage is 16 per cent at kilometre 4.5. At kilometre 4.6 the Chäserenstöckli is reached.
Via the Trittli, the Blackenboden, Flüeli, Schlözbach and Siti the long descent leads to Unteriberg. On the way the path crosses the Gänigenbach and the Sitibach. The elevation range is 930 metres. Several sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, and the long descent is hard on the knees. The tour can be walked from June to October.
