Via Rotflüelen at kilometre 8 the way back begins: 692 metres of ascent in one go back to the starting point. There are 708 metres between the lowest and highest points.
Several sections require a sure step and a head for heights; sturdy footwear is essential. The Berggasthaus Burggeist at kilometre 0.8 makes a stop at the beginning or the end; no other option is recorded on the way. The tour is recommended from May to October.
