Route description
The starting point is the valley station of the Urmiberg cable car in Brunnen. The climb begins at once and continues until kilometre 4.1, without any flat stretch worth mentioning.
Through the Tal and after crossing the Fallenbach at kilometre 2.5, the route gains height steadily. The steepest passage lies at kilometre 2.6 and reaches around 46 per cent.
At kilometre 4.1 the highest point is reached at 1,395 metres. Via the Teuftobel the path leads to the Timpel, where the Bergrestaurant Timpelweid awaits at kilometre 5.6. The hike ends at 1,133 metres.
The elevation range is 959 metres. Several sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, and 967 metres of ascent in just under six kilometres call for very good fitness. The cable car is available for the descent. The tour can be walked from June to October.
