From Lachen via Wangen to Tuggen
Eleven kilometres with only 216 metres of ascent: this walk leads from Lachen station at 416 metres along the Obersee via Wangen to Tuggen. Three hours, open all year round and with an elevation range of just 205 metres.

Route description
The starting point is Lachen station, which makes getting there particularly easy. The path crosses the Wägitaler Aa at Ennet Aa at kilometre 2.0 and reaches Wangen at kilometre 4.5.
After crossing the Nuolenbach, the only climb worth mentioning follows from kilometre 5.5 with 165 metres of ascent. The steepest section is 14 per cent at kilometre 6.5.
At kilometre 7.8 the highest point of the route is reached at 611 metres. Via the Bittchälen the path descends and reaches Tuggen at kilometre 10.0; the finish lies at 410 metres.
Technically the walk makes no particular demands and is therefore suitable for families too. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season. It runs from Lachen via Wangen to Tuggen, and all three places are served by public transport.
