Along the Obersee from Lachen to Wangen
8.6 kilometres with a mere 84 metres of ascent: this walk leads from Lachen station at 415 metres along the Obersee to Wangen. Two hours, open all year round and with an elevation range of just 80 metres.

Route description
The starting point is Lachen station; the boat landing is only a few hundred metres away. The path crosses the Wägitaler Aa at kilometre 2.3 and reaches Ennet Aa at kilometre 2.5.
Wangen is reached at kilometre 5.3. The steepest section of the route is eight per cent at kilometre 5.6, and at kilometre 7.0 lies the highest point at 486 metres.
The walk ends in Wangen at 423 metres; the lowest point lies at 406 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning.
Technically the route makes no particular demands and is therefore suitable for families too. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season. Both ends lie on the railway line, which makes planning easier.
