Route description
The starting point is Siebnen in the municipality of Wangen. The climb begins at once and continues until kilometre 8.9; the path crosses the Wägitaler Aa at the entrance to the Wägital at kilometre 1.5.
Via the Eisenburg and the Langweid the route climbs, crosses the Schwändelenbach at kilometre 6.0 and passes the Vorder Loch on the Trepsental at kilometre 6.4.
At kilometre 7.5 the Billmeschwändi is reached; the steepest passage is 21 per cent at kilometre 8.1. At kilometre 8.8 lies the highest point of the loop at 1,197 metres.
The way back leads down via the Mächlerruns and reaches Schübelbach at kilometre 13.4 before returning to the starting point. Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, and the 829 metres of ascent call for good fitness. No refreshment stop is recorded along the route. The loop can be walked from April to October.
