Route description
The starting point is the Bergrestaurant Chli Stärnen in the Hoch-Ybrig. The path climbs in three pushes of 132, 216 and 162 metres, leading through the Loch and the Schaflöcher. The steepest passage lies at kilometre 1.7 and reaches around 40 per cent.
At kilometre 3.6 the Druesberg is reached at 2,281 metres, the highest point of the tour. Then the long descent of 1,457 metres begins, considerably more than the ascent.
Via Chäseren at kilometre 6.9, where the Druesberghütte invites you to a break, and over the Leiteren the route leads down. After crossing the Weglosenbach and the Waag, the hike ends at Weglosen and Unteriberg at 1,036 metres.
Some sections make considerably higher demands than an ordinary mountain hike. Alpine experience, a sure step, an absolute head for heights and a reliable sense of direction are essential. Because of the altitude the tour can be walked from June to October.
