Loop from Euthal to the Wildegg alp
828 metres of ascent on a loop of 11.6 kilometres: this tour starts in Euthal on Lake Sihl at 902 metres and climbs to 1,640 metres. Four and a half hours, an elevation range of 738 metres and two refreshment stops on the way.

Route description
The starting point is Euthal, where the path crosses the Eubach straight away. The climb begins at once and gains around 595 metres by kilometre 5.0, on the way through the Chilentobel and the Schrotruns.
The steepest passage lies at kilometre 3.7 and reaches around 30 per cent. At kilometre 4.6 the view opens into the Wägital; shortly afterwards the path crosses the Bärlauibach at kilometre 5.9 and reaches the Alpwirtschaft Wildegg.
After a second climb of 149 metres, the highest point of the loop is reached at kilometre 6.6 at 1,640 metres. The way back leads down over the Trittli; at kilometre 11.1 the Bäsä Beizli invites you to a break shortly before the finish.
Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, and the 828 metres of ascent call for good basic fitness. The loop can be walked from May to October.
