From Rättigs between the Mythen to the Rotenflue
The sporting way to reach the Rotenflue: instead of riding up by cable car, eleven kilometres and 966 metres of ascent lead from the Rättigs middle station at 1,052 metres between the two Mythen and up to the top station.

Route description
The starting point is Rättigs at 1,052 metres, the middle station of the Rotenfluebahn. From kilometre 1.4 the first climb of 331 metres begins; the steepest passage lies at kilometre 2.4 and reaches around 32 per cent.
At kilometre 3.3 the Zwüschetmythen saddle is reached, which owes its name to its position between the Grosser and Kleiner Mythen. Shortly afterwards, at kilometre 3.8, the Alpwirtschaft Zwüschet Mythen invites you to a break.
Via Gspaa and Schachli the path descends into the Alptal, crosses the Alp at kilometre 6 and leads through the Erlentobel and the Zwäckentobel. From kilometre 6 the second climb of 417 metres begins and continues via the Müsliegg to the finish.
At kilometre 11 the Rotenflue top station is reached at 1,566 metres, the highest point of the tour. Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear. The Restaurant Gipfelstubli awaits at the finish, and because the cable car runs from there, the descent is easily arranged. The tour is recommended from May to October.
