Loop from Schwyz station over the Urmi
A leisurely loop straight from Schwyz station: 7.7 kilometres, 196 metres of ascent and an elevation range of 142 metres. The tour links Seewen, Brunnen and Ibach and makes a good outing outside the mountain season.

Route description
The starting point is Schwyz station at 455 metres in Seewen. The path crosses the Seeweren at kilometre 0.5 and climbs 134 metres from kilometre 0.6. Via Urmi and Husmatt the highest point is reached at kilometre 1.6 at 586 metres.
Via Hof the route leads down to Brunnen, reached at kilometre 2.6, crosses the Muota at kilometre 3.1 and passes Ibach at kilometre 3.6. Via the Nietenbach the loop closes back at Schwyz.
The steepest section is 13 per cent at kilometre 0.7; technically the hike makes no particular demands. Because it stays low, it can be walked from March to October. Food and drink are available in Schwyz, Brunnen and Ibach along the route.
