Route description
The starting point is the Stalden bus stop in Rickenbach near Schwyz. The path crosses the Tobelbach at kilometre 0.6, from where the 110-metre climb begins.
The steepest section is 16 per cent at kilometre 0.8. At kilometre 1.4 the highest point of the route is reached at 742 metres.
The path then drops down to Schwyz, reached at kilometre 2.6. The finish lies at 565 metres, the lowest point at 559 metres.
Technically the hike makes no particular demands and is suitable for families too. It can be walked from April to October. As both ends are served by public transport, it is easy to plan. Food and drink are available in Rickenbach and in Schwyz.
