Route description
The starting point is the Guggelstrasse in Unteriberg at the Stöcken, by the Hotel and Hallenbad Minster. The path crosses the Minster at kilometre 0.3, the Waag at kilometre 1.3 and the Nidlaubach at kilometre 1.6.
At kilometre 2.3 Ried is reached, at kilometre 3.4 the Schmalzgruben. From kilometre 3.1 the path gains 65 metres; the steepest section is eight per cent at kilometre 4.8.
At kilometre 5.1 the highest point of the loop is reached at 1,001 metres; the lowest lies at 897 metres. The path then leads back to the starting point.
Some sections call for a sure step, but technically the loop remains manageable. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season. Food and drink are available in Unteriberg at the start and finish.
