Route description
The starting point is the Muota car park in Brunnen, near the valley station of the Urmiberg cable car. The path crosses the Muota at kilometre 1.8 and the Seeweren at kilometre 3.6.
At kilometre 5.0 the highest point of the loop is reached at 481 metres, and shortly afterwards, at kilometre 5.4, Seewen. The steepest section is seven per cent at kilometre 3.7.
Via Unterschönenbuch at kilometre 8.7 the path leads back to Brunnen. The lowest point lies at 434 metres; there are no climbs worth mentioning.
Technically the hike makes no particular demands, but the 13.5 kilometres call for a little endurance. Because the loop can be walked all year round, it is also suitable for outings outside the mountain season. Food and drink are available in Brunnen and in Seewen.
