From the Wildspitz via Sattel to the Mostelberg
First 800 metres down into the valley, then 400 back up: this route leads from the Wildspitz at 1,559 metres via Sattel to the Mostelberg. Over 8.9 kilometres, 465 metres of ascent stand against 846 metres of descent, with the climb falling entirely in the second half.

Route description
It starts at the Wildspitz at 1,559 metres, high above the Hürital. The path descends through the Chessel, crosses the Änderenbach at kilometre 3.3 and reaches Sattel at kilometre 4.6. The lowest point of the tour lies at 774 metres.
From kilometre 5.2 the climb back up begins with 396 metres of ascent and continues to the finish. On the way the route crosses the Steiner Aa and the Lauitobelbach, leads through the Lauitobel and the Laumattloch and passes Jansern at kilometre 7.7 before reaching the Mostelberg at kilometre 8.7 at 1,180 metres.
The steepest passage lies at kilometre 6.7 and reaches around 21 per cent. Some sections call for a sure step; sturdy footwear is part of the kit.
The Berggasthaus Wildspitz at the start, the Alpwirtschaft Halsegg at kilometre 2.6 and the Berggasthaus Mostelberg at the finish invite you to stop. As both ends lie on a mountain railway, the tour combines easily with a ride up and down. It is recommended from May to October.
