Along the Obersee from Rapperswil to Altendorf
8.7 kilometres with an elevation range of just 15 metres: this lakeside walk links Rapperswil at 408 metres via the Seedamm causeway and Pfäffikon with Altendorf. Two hours, open all year round and practically without a climb.

Route description
The starting point is Rapperswil. The path crosses the Seedamm to the Schwyz shore and reaches Pfäffikon at kilometre 3.4.
The route then follows the shore of the Obersee and reaches Altendorf at kilometre 6.2, where it crosses the Talbach at kilometre 6.4.
The highest point lies at the finish at 421 metres, the lowest at 406 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning; the steepest section is two per cent.
Technically the walk makes no demands and suits all ages. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season and a good choice while there is still snow in the mountains. Every place along the route is served by rail.
