From Arth up to the Seebodenalp
632 metres of ascent in a single, continuous climb: from the Arth Dorf bus stop at 421 metres, 7.5 kilometres lead up to the Seebodenalp at 1,015 metres. There are no counter-climbs worth mentioning; instead it is uphill almost without interruption.

Route description
The starting point is Arth Dorf at 421 metres. After just 400 metres the climb begins and continues until kilometre 6.5. On the way the path crosses the Trehbach, the Witeschrandbach and the Fischchrattenbach.
At kilometre 6.2 the highest point is reached at 1,055 metres. Via Alpetli and the Ghürschbach the route leads to the Seebodenalp, where the hike ends after the Dorfbach. There are 635 metres between the lowest and highest points.
The steepest passage lies at kilometre 1.7 and reaches around 18 per cent, so the climb is spread evenly over the whole route. Some sections call for a sure step; sturdy footwear is part of the kit.
At the finish the Hotel Rigi-Seebodenalp invites you to a break. As the Seebodenalp is served by a mountain railway, the descent can easily be shortened. The tour is recommended from May to October.
