From the Seebodenalp up to Rigi Kulm
768 metres of ascent in 4.6 kilometres, without a single metre of descent: this climb from the Seebodenalp to Rigi Kulm is one of the steepest short tours in the collection. Two and a half hours of non-stop uphill walking.

Route description
The starting point is the Seebodenalp at 1,015 metres, where the path crosses the Dorfbach straight away. The climb begins at once and continues to the finish: 768 metres of ascent in one go, with no counter-descent and no breather.
At kilometre 3.3 Rigi Staffel is reached, where the Restaurant Bahnhöfli invites you to a break. From there the path continues to Rigi Kulm, the highest point of the Rigi, where the hike ends at kilometre 4.6 at 1,797 metres.
The steepest passage lies at kilometre 1.3 and reaches around 24 per cent. Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear.
For breaks there are the Hotel Rigi-Seebodenalp at the start, the Restaurant Bahnhöfli at kilometre 3.3, the Restaurant Kessiboden at kilometre 4.1 and the Rigi Kulm Hotel at kilometre 4.4. The Rigi railway is available for the descent. The tour is recommended from May to October.
