Route description
The starting point is Einsiedeln station, where the path crosses the Alp straight away. After crossing the Aubach at kilometre 1.3 the route leads into the Alptal.
At kilometre 2.0 Trachslau is reached, and at kilometre 3.8 Ober Trachslau, where the path also crosses the Hürlisbach. There lies the highest point of the route at 948 metres.
The walk ends at 928 metres; the elevation range is a mere 66 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning; the steepest section is three per cent.
Technically the route makes no demands and is therefore suitable for families with small children too. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season. Food and drink are available in Einsiedeln at the start.
