Route description
Any spot in Einsiedeln can serve as the starting point; the station or the monastery square are practical. The path crosses the Alp straight away and the Wänibach at kilometre 0.1.
At kilometre 0.6 the highest point is reached at 898 metres; the lowest lies at 880 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning; the steepest section is three per cent.
The circuit leads through the village centre and closes back at the starting point. Technically it makes no demands and suits all ages, including with a pushchair.
Because the route is open all year round, it is an option in any season. It combines well with a visit to the monastery or with one of the longer hikes from Einsiedeln. Food and drink are available in the village.
