From the Felsentor via Rigi Staffel up to Rigi Kulm
744 metres of ascent in only 5.9 kilometres: this climb leads from the Romiti Felsentor at 1,197 metres up to Rigi Kulm at 1,796 metres. Two and a half hours and three refreshment stops in the upper part of the route.

Route description
The starting point is the Romiti Felsentor on the north flank of the Rigi. The first climb begins at kilometre 0.7 and gains around 282 metres by kilometre 2.0; the steepest passage comes right at kilometre 0.8 and reaches around 27 per cent.
Via Oberebnet and First the path climbs, dips briefly and crosses the Rigiaa at kilometre 2.8. From kilometre 2.9 the second climb of 397 metres follows up to the summit.
At kilometre 4.6 Rigi Staffel is reached, where the Restaurant Bahnhöfli invites you to a break. Shortly before the finish, the Restaurant Kessiboden follows at kilometre 5.4 and the Rigi Kulm Hotel at kilometre 5.6.
The elevation range is 630 metres. Several sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear, and 744 metres of ascent in just under six kilometres call for good fitness. The Rigi railway is available for the descent. The tour can be walked from May to October.
