Route description
The starting point is Rigi Klösterli. The climb begins at once and gains around 358 metres by kilometre 2.7. The steepest passage lies at kilometre 2.0 and reaches around 36 per cent. At kilometre 1.8 the path passes Rigi Unterstetten.
At kilometre 2.7 the highest point is reached at 1,684 metres. After a short descent, another climb of 98 metres follows from kilometre 3.6 at the Hinder Dosse saddle.
Via the Löcher the route reaches Rigi Scheidegg at kilometre 4.4; the hike ends at 1,641 metres. The elevation range is 367 metres.
Some sections require a sure step and sturdy footwear. The Berghaus Unterstetten at kilometre 1.8 and the Berggasthaus Rigi-Scheidegg at the finish invite you to stop. The tour is recommended from June to October.
