Route description
The starting point is the Rigi Kulm top station at 1,765 metres, where the Rigi Kulm Hotel stands right at the start. At kilometre 0.3 the highest point of the Rigi is reached at 1,797 metres.
The circuit leads over the summit dome and closes back at the top station. The lowest point lies at 1,761 metres; there are no climbs worth mentioning.
Technically the path makes no demands and suits all ages. Because it is open all year round, it is also an option in the winter half of the year, when non-slip footwear and a look at current conditions are part of the plan.
Given its short distance, the circuit combines well with one of the longer hikes from Rigi Kulm, or simply slots in as a scenic loop between two train rides.
