A short scenic stroll from Rigi Kulm
1.1 kilometres and half an hour: this short walk leads from Rigi Kulm at 1,764 metres down to Rigi Staffel. Open all year round, and the quickest way to a panoramic view over central Switzerland.

Route description
The starting point is Rigi Kulm, which is also the highest point of the route. The Rigi Kulm Hotel stands right at the start, and the Restaurant Kessiboden follows at kilometre 0.2.
The path descends briskly, with the steepest drop right at kilometre 0.1. Rigi Staffel is reached at kilometre 0.9 and the Restaurant Bahnhöfli at kilometre 1.0.
The walk ends at 1,605 metres; the elevation range is 160 metres. There are no climbs at all.
Technically the route makes no demands and suits all ages. Because it can be walked all year round, it is an option in any season. Its very short length means it slips easily between two train rides.
