Route description
The starting point is Rigi Kulm, where the Rigi Kulm Hotel stands right at the top station. After just 100 metres the highest point of the route is reached at 1,752 metres.
At kilometre 1.0 the Alpwirtschaft Chäserenholz invites you to a break. The path then descends across the alpine pastures of the Rigi, and the gradient nowhere reaches any notable figure.
At kilometre 3.8 Rigi Klösterli is reached, where the path crosses the Rigiaa and the Hotel-Restaurant zum Goldenen Hirschen awaits. The walk ends at 1,317 metres; the elevation range is 442 metres.
Technically the route makes no demands and is therefore suitable for all ages. It can be walked from June to October. As the start and finish are served by the Rigi railways, it is easy to plan.
