Route description
The starting point is the Saliboden in the Bisistal, where the path crosses the Muota at kilometre 0.3. The climb begins at once and continues until kilometre 5.9, without any flat stretch worth mentioning.
The steepest passage lies at kilometre 3.5 and reaches around 42 per cent. Via the Firner Loch the route climbs and reaches the highest point at kilometre 5.9 at 2,316 metres, the highest of all the tours in this collection.
Via the Inner Brüelchälen and the Stränzenbänder at kilometre 7.3 the path descends into the Seeloch. After crossing the Vorderer Läckibach, the Berggasthaus Glattalp is reached at kilometre 8.7, the only refreshment stop recorded. The hike ends at 1,280 metres in the high valley of the Glattalp.
Some sections make considerably higher demands than an ordinary mountain hike. Alpine experience, a sure step, an absolute head for heights and a reliable sense of direction are essential. Because of the altitude the tour can only be walked from July to October. The Glattalp cable car is available for the descent.
