Route description
The starting point is Rigi Staffel, which is also the highest point of the route. The Restaurant Bahnhöfli stands right at the start, and the Restaurant Lok 7 follows at kilometre 0.3.
At kilometre 1.0 Rigi Kaltbad is reached, where the Kräuterhotel Edelweiss invites you to a break. At the finish at kilometre 3.1 the Hotel-Restaurant Alpina awaits.
The walk ends at 1,435 metres; the elevation range is 169 metres. There are no climbs worth mentioning, and the gradient nowhere exceeds one per cent.
Technically the route makes no demands and suits all ages. Because it is open all year round, it is an option in any season; in winter, non-slip footwear and a look at conditions are part of the plan. Both ends are served by the Rigi railways.
