Frauenkloster St. Peter am Bach

The Dominican convent of St. Peter am Bach in the centre of Schwyz looks back on 750 years of unbroken monastic history: devout women were already living here in community in 1275.

To this day the sisters live in monastic stillness, carry people with them in prayer and earn their keep through, among other things, the altar-bread bakery and the garden. A place of calm and living tradition.
